I am not a very rich person, but I"m not poor either. Sometimes I dream of becoming rich, not because this is something I really want, but because I like dreaming of alternative lives I could live. If I, let"s say, had some gold bullion to sell, and the amount of money that I could get for it could be sufficient to buy or build a small house, I would definitely move out of this rented flat in the ugly city centre and start living somewhere in the countryside. There I could at least have my own garden or even a small field. I could grow vegetables: marrows, tomatoes, carrot, lettuce, potatoes and cucumbers. I guess I could try growing wheat or rye or even pulses. I would not have to buy any food because I would become self-sufficient. I know it sounds like a fairy tale, but as I said, this is only something I sometimes dream of. My house would be built of eco-friendly materials, which would be expensive at the beginning, but then the housekeeping costs would become lower. I could change my job, too. Why not start working somewhere near home? I would not have to drive very far or take the train every day. Well, this is what I would do if I had some gold bullion to sell. But unfortunately, I do not have any rich relatives and I don"t think I will ever be able to invest in gold myself.
