My husband is very miserly. He do not want to buy many things which I consider to be necessary in everyday life. He had this obsession on saving money and in these days this can be a virtue. But believe me it is not. When he first found out that I am pregnant he was of course happy but he started to worry how much more money we will start to spend when the baby will be here with us. Then it turned out that I will have twins and he was looking more confused than happy. He quickly started to count every penny. I must add that we are not poor. We live a normal life, this all saving thing is rather an obsession of my husband than something caused or forced by our financial status. Anyway one day we had a big argument abut a cot mattresses. I wanted to buy two cot mattresses for two cot beds we already had at our house but he did not want to. He claimed that we should use the old mattress we had I our basement so that way we would save some money. I did not want to listen to that but he did as he said. He took an old mattress and he made two cot mattresses for our babies. I was not happy about that and I am still mad on him. But he will not change and I think that I will have to get used to it. And believe me that the cot mattresses were not the only problem connected with his greed.
